It is unclear if the deal with Apple will include any free-to-air rights, meaning the entire event could be available only to subscribers of Apple TV+, a factor over which senior executives at FIFA have raised concerns. Should the deal go through, it would be the first time that FIFA, which will stage the first expanded 48-team men’s World Cup in the United States in 2026, has agreed to a single worldwide contract. I think one estimate put, at one point, I think China was producing something like 90% of the world's iPhones. So when we talk about, you know, Apple manufacturing elsewhere, it's going take a long time to significantly ramp up iPhone production elsewhere. And you know, opening a physical Apple store often for Apple is a sign of a big deal. But you know, Apple looking at India going, wow, we've only got 7% of market share there, we could grow huge amounts. And of course, as we know, with Apple, the hardware is the, you know, one side of the equation, but also, you know, Apple makes billions of dollars off of its services business, which includes things like its App Store fees, it's Apple Pay, Apple TV, all of those other products and services.

A partnership with Google would catapult Apple into the growing AI arms race. In a press release on Tuesday, the company said WWDC 2024 will also share software updates coming to the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Vision Pro headset.

CNN —What sounds like an enticing historical thriller mostly falls flat in “Manhunt,” an Apple TV+ series about the frantic search for John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln. Anthony Boyle as John Wilkes Booth in "Manhunt." That’s especially true of Booth, through no fault of Boyle’s, who as written possesses less depth than his flamboyantly villainous mustache. “Manhunt” sounds promising on paper, only to mirror Apple’s even-splashier World War II series “Masters of the Air” by offering a meticulously produced window into the past that only fitfully gets off the ground. “Manhunt” premieres March 15 on Apple TV+.
